VIRAL OR VANISHED

Viral or Vanished · Public information

Privacy Policy

Pre-launch draft based on the Android app's June 2026 privacy screen and newer proposed social features. Must be checked against live infrastructure and Play Console Data safety answers before release.

Who operates this service?

This policy relates to Viral or Vanished. Questions about personal data: support@viralorvanished.com. The legal operator's full identity and mailing contact must be confirmed before launch.

Information involved

When the full platform is active, it is designed to process account information (name, email, username, role and optional city), artist profiles, uploaded songs and artwork, votes, comments, reports, usage events, and technical/security logs. Planned community functions would also process posts, follows, collaboration requests, messages, user blocks and linked public social profiles. The precise final data inventory must match deployed code.

Why information is used

Account authentication, music playback and voting, artist discovery, community functions, moderation, user support, service reliability, prevention of misuse and compliance with lawful requests. If analytics or external advertising services are activated, this policy must identify those services and relevant data-sharing practices before activation.

Who can see it?

Approved tracks, titles, artist identities, public profile information, displayed votes, comments and rankings are intended to be public. Account email addresses, password hashes, private conversations and internal moderation records should not be displayed publicly. Authorized administrators and required service providers may need controlled access to certain records.

Storage, sharing and security

The intended architecture uses a managed database, backend hosting and Cloudflare R2 for audio storage. These providers are not all connected yet. Access control, HTTPS, restricted credentials, retention limits and testing are required before live accounts open. The app's older privacy text states no data-broker sales or personalized sponsor sharing; this must be revalidated if monetization changes.

Retention and deletion

Account data should be retained only as needed to provide the service or meet legitimate legal requirements. A user may request account and associated data deletion from this web page or through in-app support. Backup and legally retained data rules must be verified and published once storage services are finalized.

Rights, children and changes

Contact support to request access, correction or deletion, or to raise a privacy concern. The current Android terms state the platform is not intended for children under 13. Age verification, guardian consent and regional requirements need final review. Material policy changes will be posted here.
